Overview

Chinese Measure Words ("we", "us", "the site") is a free, no-signup learning tool. We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Information you send us voluntarily. If you email us or join the waitlist, we store the email address you provide so we can reply or notify you.
• Anonymous usage data. We use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that does not use cross-site tracking cookies. It tells us things like page views and rough geographic region, never who you are.
• Search terms you look up (anonymously). When a search returns no result, we record the queried word and how often it was searched. This is stored without any account or personal identifier, and is used only to improve our measure-word coverage.
• Cookies for advertising (when enabled). If and when we display Google AdSense ads, third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. See the next section.

Advertising Cookies

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings. You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

How We Use Information

• To respond to your questions and suggestions.
• To send waitlist notifications you explicitly requested.
• To understand which content helps learners most, so we can improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@chinesemeasurewords.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

This site is intended for language learners of all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
